 Mission
Founded on May 3,
2004, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus was established
to support the Knights of Columbus at the Church of the Risen Christ and to
enrich the members’ lives spiritually and socially as well as to
provide opportunities to perform works of charity.
Membership
Membership
is open to all women, 18 years and older, who support the group’s
mission. Members need not be Catholic, but cannot be in opposition to the
Roman Catholic Church’s teachings.

Projects
First
and foremost, the Auxiliary supports the mission and activities of the
Knights of Columbus at the Church of the Risen Christ. Their program
includes many special events. The spaghetti dinner/silent auction in the
fall; the golf tournament in the summer, and the fish fry dinners on some
Fridays of Lent are a few of the activities.
In
addition, the Auxiliary strengthens the lives of its members spiritually by
praying the Rosary each month before the regular business meeting, by
supporting each other and CRC community through a prayer chain, and
inviting speakers to share beneficial messages.
Auxiliary
charitable activities come in the form of financial contributions as well
as donations of volunteer time. Projects supported include: Broadway
Assistance Center, United Service Organization, Dominican Home Health
Agency, Pure Fashion, St. Vincent de Paul Society and Rocky Mountain
Handicapped Encounter Christ. Spiritual, charitable, and social activities
or projects are determined on a year to year basis after members consider
the needs in the community. The Auxiliary supports the goals and projects
of the State of Colorado Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus.
Meetings
And Dues
The
Auxiliary meets once a month on the 1st
Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held in the Senior Room in the
Parish Center. The Rosary is recited at 6:30 P.M. The monthly business
meeting is conducted from 7:00-8:00 PM. Spiritual, social, and charitable
events as well as Knights of Columbus activities, which the Auxiliary
assists, take place at various times throughout the year. Annual dues are $24, payable July 1st. Dues are
prorated for new members who join midyear. Name tags are an additional $9.
History
In
2002, Pope John Paul II wrote a letter to encourage all Catholics to recite
the Rosary and suggested five new mysteries that could supplement the
mediation of the traditional Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries of
the Rosary. The Knights of Columbus Council # 13,301 adopted these
mysteries as its name when it was chartered on March 25, 2003. Needless to say, the Luminous Mysteries are
recited at the meetings.

Ladies Auxiliary Activities
We
typically have 1 regularly scheduled Meeting per Month
(1.) Business Meeting: 1st Tuesday Evening of the month, Rosary at 6:30pm, Business Meeting
from 7:00pm
– 8:00pm, in the Parish Center (Senior Room).

We are Open To and Request you’re Suggestions for expanding the List and the
Variety of the Activities and Events that we do to better be able to Serve
our Brothers and Sister in need, and to accommodate our Chapter Memberships
vast variety of interests, because we don’t all necessarily like to
do the same things, or to do the same things all the time, but we do like
to do them with one another and together as a Chapter Membership.
